Third Street is launching the Resilience and Recovery Fund to keep thousands of children, teens and adults meaningfully engaged in arts education during this most challenging time. A gift to the Fund can be designated to any of the following areas:
- Third Street Partners: For 60 years, Third Street has sent teaching artists into under-served NYC public schools to ensure that thousands of school children each year have access to the highest level of arts education. Students from Pre-K through middle school learn violin, concert band, Afro-Caribbean Dance, Percussion, chorus and more. The pandemic has decimated this year’s budget and we are in danger of losing ten of our longstanding school partnerships, eliminating arts instruction for over 1,800 students.
- Financial Aid: Deep economic uncertainty among our families is resulting in vastly increased demand for financial aid. Continuity in music and dance education is critical for students who are suffering from reduced enrichment and social interaction and we are determined to meet this rising need for aid.
- Virtual Programs: Providing state-of-the-art remote arts learning requires continual investment in hardware and software, high-speed connectivity, professional development and technical support. As the pandemic continues, we must continue to enhance and grow our remote programs to make sure our students and community partners stay connected.
- Third Street Preschool: By making a gift you will help Third Street Preschool remain a vibrant center for our young learners for decades to come. Gifts to Third Street Preschool will help us continue to keep our community safe during the pandemic by investing in the latest technology and expertise, support Preschool families in need with tuition assistance, and will allow us to further enhance our curriculum and faculty professional development.
Over the past 125 years, the Third Street community has overcome its share of crises with the help and generosity of dedicated supporters like you. Your gift to Third Street’s Resilience and Recovery Fund will keep Third Street strong and will help our students thrive through this difficult time.
